KINGMAN—Ollie Broom, 94, Rt. 2 Kingman, died early Wednesday morning in the home of Paul Rahn of near Wallace. Mr. Broom had been staying with his foster son and neighbor since he became ill a few weeks ago. He was born Aug. 19, 1886, in Putnam County near Roachdale, to Harvey and Elva Parks Broom. On Jan. 14, 1914, he married Laura Britton at Greencastle. She died in August, 1969. Mr. Broom was a farmer. He lived in Putnam County until moving to Fountain County in 1939. He was a member of Freedom Congregational Church and Bainbridge Masonic Lodge 75. Surviving are his foster son and his wife, Paul and Helen Rahn, and their five children; a sister, Miss Anna Broom, Indianapolis, and several cousins. Services will be conducted by Rev. Alfred Dobbs at 2 p.m. Friday in Services-Thomas Funeral Home Waynetown. Burial will be in the Roachdale Cemetery. - kbz
